Die Port h a b e n eine d u r c h s c l m i t t ] i c h e IAinge w m 6 his 7 g mid eine Breite v()n 1,5 bis 2 Ix. m a t e r i a l oft in die Ttipfel61~nung einfliel3t und b e i m Abh e b e n der Matrize die z a r t e n Gebilde abrciBen, l)ie Ausw/ichse, die die , , V e r z i e r u n g " bilden, sind an den R~indern aller GefSl3t/ipfelpari zu finden. Sie weisen v e r s c h i e d e n e F o r m e n auf und e r s c h e i n e n einfach papill6s, koralloid o d e r s t a r k verzweigt (Bild 2). Zwischen diesen G r u n d t y p e n t r e t e n alle l~;berg/inge auf. Auch die I./tnge der l t r h e b t m g e n ist sehr u n t e r s c h i e d l i c h . \~/5~hrend die papill6sen u n d einfach koralloiden l ; o r m e n d u r c h s c h n i t t l i c h o, 5 bis J,5 !, lang sind, k6nnen die s t a r k v e r z w e i g t e n eine /.tinge \ o n tiber 3 ix erreichen. Die einzelnen Port w e r d e n im allgenleinen d u r c h gleichartige S t r u k t u r e n verziert. I h , c h kann man bereits an ben a c h b a r t e n Port u n t e r s c h i e d I i c h e F o r m e n feststellen. Bet t~latkymenia retic~data ist der papill6se und k~ra lloide T y p u s v o r h e r r s e h e n d , wfihrend bet PI./oliol,)sa hSufiger die s t a r k v e r z w e i g t e n Gebilde a u f t r e t e n , (lie bisweilen
