Meanwhile the Urologists are still waiting for a better understanding of the natural history of BPH particularly on the molecular biology level, several therapies for benign prostatic hyperplasia came out on the market including medical and mini-invasive treatments. BPH therapies changed from therapy for urinary symptoms alone to therapy for urinary symptoms and prevention of BPH progression, from monotherapy to combination therapy, from medical therapy to TUNA and from TURP to Laser. These new approaches altered our daily practice and our wish was to make a special issue in the World Journal of Urology on how managing BPH in 2006. Amongst the most well known Urologists and experts in BPH field replied favorably to our invitation and sent
