Tile Toronto Hospital is a major teaching hospital at the University of Toronto, and has a large neurosurgical service, with approximately 1800 cases per year. This staffposition offers both clinical and research opportunities in neuroanaesthesia, neuro ICU, pharmacology and physiology. Applicants must be Canadian certified in anaesthesia.

Foothills is the tertiary referral hospital for Southern Alberta and is affiliated with The University of Calgary. The successful applicant will be involved in postgraduate and undergraduate education. Preference will be given to individuals with teaching and research experience. Specializingin the surgical and surgically related fields with laparoscopicsurgery,Mills Memorial Hospital has significant state-of-theart anaesthetic equipment. We have a combined medical/surgical intensive care unit which is equipped with 2 Bennett 7200 series ventilators. Two other qualified anaesthetists are on staff, In addition to these speciality services,our medical staff consists of a specialist in otolaryngology, two in general surgery, four in internal medicine, two in obstetrics/gynaecology, one in urology, two in paediatrics, two in radiology. three in psychiatry,a pathologist and a visiting plastic surgeon.An orthopaedic surgeon is located in Kitimat where we periodically provide anaesthesia services. Upon request, anaesthesia services ere occasionally required for CT scanningin the RadiologyDepartment.Thereis an active acute pain management service.An interest in Chronicpain managementwou Id bean asset.Anaesthesia for ECT pending. Our staff represent a challenging practice covering a wide range of surgical proceduresand. in addition, we have a core of 16 dedicated general practitioners.
