Editors' Comments Science teacher educators face many dilemmas in preparing future science teachers to provide science ~ducation for all students. This issue of JSTE presents articles that show how we, as science teacher ducators, need to work with preservice science students on two levels. On one level we are concerned vith helping our students learn science. Articles in this issue show how this takes the form of tnderstanding science concepts, improving attitudes towards science, student empowerment, situated earning, and learning in context. On the other level, preservice teachers must be prepared to teach cience to all children. This is highlighted in the articles which focus on understanding the learning needs ~four diverse population in terms of language, cultures, and gender. Our goal is to help our students find ersonal meaning and success in science, and in turn, have them pass that personal meaning and success n science on to their students. As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions, but most importantly, we welcome your aanuscripts. Remember, JSTE is your journal; it publishes the work of its members. JSTE is dependent tpon you and your work. We, as editors, only facilitate the publication and dissemination of that work.
