Fafnir Bearing Division of Textron, Inc., announces the acquisition of Argosy Bearings, Ltd. of Texdale, Ontario, Canada. Argosy, who manufactures unground ball bearings in single and double row types, as well as a variety of custom design configurations, will operate as part of the Fafnir Bearing Division of Textron Canada, Ltd. James J. Mitchell and Clarence L. Griffin have been promoted to Vice Presidents of PT Components, Inc. They will continue respectively as Division Managers of the Link-Belt Bearing Division in Indianapolis and the Stearns Division in Milwaukee. Walter Baturka has been elected President and Chief Executive Officer of SKF Industries. Baturka joined SKF in 1978 and was elected Executive Vice president in 1984.
