The public corporation Sumy M. V. Frunze r Scientific - Production Association Open Joint Stock Company (M. V. Frunze NPO OAO) is one of the largest manufacturesof equipment for the petroleum and gas industry, the petroleum and gas processing industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States and of distant foreign countries. In production are tens of modifications of gas pumping unit~ for aircraft, ~h'ms, and electric drives (with unit power of 6.3-25 MW and final pressure of 1.25-20 MPa) for line and final compressor stations (LCD and FCS), and also for stations for subterranean gas storage (SGS). The increase of the overall power of the stock of mrbocompressor sets over the years, produced by the M. V. Frunze NPO OAO for the gas ~nd petroleum industry, is presented in Fig. 1. The association can at present supply the foUowing equipment for the petroleum and gas industry: gas pumlps~ sets with a power of 6.3, 8 (9), 16, and 25 MW for LCS, FCS, and also sets for CS (compressor stations) of SCG with a power of 6.3-16 MW; complete block CS for the collection and transport of natural gas based on the turbocompressor sets TKA-Ts-16/476 with a power of 16 MW; complete block CS of natural gas for petroleum gas lift based on sets type TKA-Ts-6, 3A and TKA-Ts-16 with a power of 6.3 and 16 MW, respectively, and a discharge pressure of 5.8-12 MPa (Fig. 2); compressor installations (CI) for reverse pumping of natural gas for intensifying recovery of condensate by the cycling process at a discharge pressure of 35-50 MPa; motor-cor gas flnln~ CS types AGNKS MBKI-250 and AGNKS MBKI-125 with a capacity of 250 and 125 fuelings per day, respectively; motor-car fuolln~ station type AGZS BKI-600 and AGZS BKI-150 for fueling motor cars with fiquefied gas with a capacity of 600 and 150 fuelings per day. respectively; station for joint fu,Oln~ of motor cars with compressed natural gas and liquefied hydrocarbon gas SZS-125/150; r gas fuolln~ stations for cars AGZS M-50 with a capacity of 50 fuelings per day; mobile gas refuelers PAGZ-2800-32 for fueling cars with natural gas up to a pressure of 20 MPa by natural pressure; complete block equipment for the processing of gas condensate and petroleum; water-ring pumps for the collection and transport of methane obtained from coal mines; equipment type KORO-1-80 and AK-60 with a load-tiffing capacity of 60-80 tons for repair and opening up of petroleum and gas boreholes up to 30(D-4500 m deep; weighted pipes for deep drilling; sectional centrifugal pumps TsNS-180M and TsNS-180-1 for the flooding of oil-bearing seams; clay separators based on the centrifuge TsG-1 for the purification of drilling fluid in the sinking of petroleum and gas boreholes;

The technological equipment produced for stations and installations is supplied in blocks and containers and excels by its high level of operational readiness. An important trait of production at the M. V. Frunze NPO OAO is its comprehensiveness, which makes it possible to effect designing, production, testing, and final adjustments, and also assembly and debugging at the customer's site, and when necessary also servicing during operation. New products for the gas industry (gas pumping sets, fittings, AGNKS, AZS, automatic control systems for compressor sets) are subjected to full-scale tests and debugging on the block of test stands of the association, and stations for the petroleum industry are tested and debugged directly at the customer's site in the course of industrial tests. The high scientific and technical potential of the design and technological services and the system of operating production make it possible to fdl orders within the shortest possible time. For instance, production, shipment, assembly, and debugging at the CS Isfahan (Iran) by specialists of the M. V. Fnmze NPO OAO were completed within six months. The equipment for the Eskisehir CS (overland gas pipeline from Bulgaria to Turkey) was produced, delivered, and assembled within an even shorter time (four months after signln~ of the contract). Among the unique products made in the former USSR first by the M. V. Frunze NPO OAO in addition to the unified gas pumping sets types GPA-Ts-6, 3 and GPA-Ts-16, are: gas pumping sets in corrosion-resistant modification with a power of 6.3 MW with gas-turbine and electrical drives for helium production; installations for reverse gas pumping UKSP-16/500 for the operation of gas-condensate deposits (with final pressure of 50 MPa, with aircraft drive MK-16ST designed by the N. D. Kuznetsov SNTK); complete block compressor stations based on plant with aircraft drive with a power of 6.3 and 16 MW for the collection and transport of natural gas, and also on the gas lift for petroleum; dry-type CC for natural gas with electromagnetic bearings designed by VNIII~M (Moscow) and with end-face gasdynamic seals. The design of the first Russian dry-type 16-MW CC operating at the Syzran' CS (S~maratransgaz DAO of the Russian Joint Stock Company [RAO] Gazprom) is presented in Fig. 3. On the basis of experience with the operation of dry-type CC at the Syzran' CS the M. V. Fmnze NPO OAO is preparing the series production of sets type GPA-Ts-16 with a "dry" compressor. Further development of the production of equipment for the gas and petroleum industry, enhancing its competitiveness, is based on the generalization of experience in operation, new achievements in the field of compressor and gas-turbine construction, of means of automation and modern engineering technologies, and also with a view to the trends of scientific and technical progress in the customers' branches. In view of this the M. V. Frunze NPO OAO introduces the production of perfected types of series produced equipment, and also of new kinds of equipment: gas-pumping sets for different purposes devised on the basis of the latest generation of aircraft and ships gas-turbine engines with a power of 6.3-25 MW with an efficiency of 31.5-36% (Fig. 4); set of block equipment based on the new plant type TKA-Ts-6,3 with aircraft drive D-336-I designed at the Progress ZMBK (Zaporozhe) for the reconstruction of gas-processing enterprises; complete block CS for the gas industry based on plant type GPA-Ts-6, 3A; complete block set with a power of 16 MW for the gas-pumping installation GPU-16K devised on the basis of the fundamentally new type of gas-turbine drive designed at the Mashproekt NPP (in Nikolaev) and the Turbogaz AO (Kharkov) with utiJiTation of the heat of the exhaust gases by power injection of steam into the combustion chamber of the gas-turbine engine and regeneration of water in the cycle [1]; compressor installation type AGNKU BKI-60/5, 5-7, 5-25.0 for fueling 60-90 cars a day, whose design envisages the possibility of connecting it with overland gas pipelines; ball stop valves for overland gas pipelines DN 1200, 1400, PN 80; power utilizers I~UK-30 and I~UK-6 based on ships' gas-turbine drive and expausion-engine drive designed by Mashproekt NPP and the l~nergiya factory (Krivoi Rog); f'mal compressor sets type GPA-Ts-6, 3A based on the aircraft drive D-336-1 with double housing centrifugal compressors with x c = 3.5-8 or more for depleted deposits of natural gas;

comprehensive power-generating equipment based on newly designed and series-produced technological, powergenerating, compressor, and pumping equipment, gas-turbine drives supplied in blocks with containers for the collection, transport, and processing of petroleum and gas in distant and poorly developed regions. Having considerable scientific and technical potential and large productive possibilities, extensive scientific and technical, productive and commercial ties with leading enterprises and organizations in the field of engineering, the M. V. Frunze NPO OAO is prepared for business-like cooperation with enterprises of the petroleum and gas industry for the purpose of solving vital problems in the field of extraction, transport, and processing of petroleum and gaseous hydrocarbons.
