European Society of Uroradiology (ESUR) Newsletter 1995, No. 1 The European Society of Uroradiology (ESUR) was established in 1990 by 21 uroradiologists just before the socond Copenhagen Symposium on Uroradiology. The aims of the society are to: • promote interest in and development of all aspects of uroradiology - imaging and intervention. • stimulate education and research in uroradiology. • organise scientifiC meetings and postgraduate courses. • represent European uroradiological interests to public bodies, both European and national.

Organisation The ESUR is administered by a board. The current officers are: President - J. F. Moreau (F) Past President - L. Dalla Palma (I) President Elect - J. A. W. Webb (UK) Secretary/Treasurer - H. S. Thomsen (DK) Member-at-large - J. O. Barentsz (NL) The standing committees appointed by the board are the Membership Committee, Rules Committee and Programme Committee. There is also an Education Committee and a newly established Contrast Media Safety Committee.
