IMPORTANT NOTES AND REMINDERS FOR AUTHORS
You will ¢nd our current Instructions to Authors on p. 89 of issue 1 of volume 11 of Chromosome Research and on our Website hhttp://www.kluweronline.com/issn/0967-3849i. Please read and follow them carefully when preparing your manuscript. Papers may be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief or to any of the Associate Editors. North American authors are encouraged, but under no obligation, to send their manuscripts to one of our Associate Editors in that region, Dr. Steve Stack or Dr. Michael Goldman. This often helps to speed up editorial processing and can lead to better communication and a faster decision on acceptance for publication. For the same reasons, Japanese authors are encouraged to submit their papers through our Associate Editor in Japan, Professor Nobuo Takagi. If you submit your paper as hard copy, we need 3 complete copies. If you submit on disk, it must be PC formatted with text and illustrations as Word ¢les, all in accordance with our Instructions to Authors. No hard copy is needed until after the paper is accepted. If you submit by E-mail, attach everything as Word ¢les and TIFF or JPEG images (consult the Instructions to Authors carefully), compressed with WinZip or similar. If in doubt, call the Editor of your choice for advice. No hard copy is needed until after the paper is accepted. Remember: When your paper is accepted for publication we will need 1 hard copy of the full text, one full set of high quality glossy prints of all illustrations in the form and to a standard that you would wish to see them published, and the text and illustrations on disk or CD. General points: Don’t forget key words Don’t forget scale bars on micrographs Don’t forget full contact details for the communicating author If you don’t provide these, it may delay publication of your paper.
