The Dokuchaevskii F l u x - D o l o m i t e Combine of the Donets economic region is rightfully c a l l e d the "Flux Magnitka". The Combine produces for m e t a l l u r g i c a l plants, flux, which is an important product for a l l m e t a l l u r gical production. Rotary drilling machines developed by a group of workers at the Combine are successfully working in the mines. Millisecond delay blasting is being used with success. Based on the suggestion of workers of the Combine, a conveyor d e v i c e with an o r i g i n a l - d e s i g n swing chute for transporting wastes from the factory to the dump was designed and built. Our designers are now working on the d e v e l o p m e n t of a number of machines for m e c h a n izing drilling and blasting operations. The socialist competition which has widely evolved at the Combine has promoted the introduction and mastering of new techniques and production technology, m o b i l i z e d the labor and creative activity of the masses for the fulfiliment and overfulfillment of pledges taken. During the course of the competition our beacons were "lighted". Among these beacons was our brigade, the brigade of the No. 12 excavator of the central mine, which was one of the first to be awarded the high rank. The honored title is also borne by the brigade of the No. 9 excavator headed by honored miner of the Ukraine I. T. Pivovarov, the brigade of the No. 24 excavator headed by E. T. Shcherbin, and many others, Several shops of the Combine, including the central mine where I work, was awarded the rank of'shop of communist labor." During eight months of this year the central m i n e has fulfilled the plan for excavation by 100.7~ o, for extraction of raw limestone by 105.5%. Our brigade during this period fulfilled the ptan with respect to the rock mass by 102.8% and the brigade of the No. 9 excavator by 105.8%. The average productivity of the c a b l e rig is 1~?.6. and the BSV-8 rotary rig 50.4 meters of drilling during a seven-h shift. At the Dolomite Mine of our C o m bine N. T. Polyakov, operator of the BSV rig, achieved the highest productivity, having drilled during a shift more than 100 meters in rocky ground. The results of the work of the miners and of the Combine as a whole would be even better if it were not for the numerous troubles. Thus, the Donets railroad systematically underdelivers cars to the Combine for unloading the units and equipment: during eight months of 1965 1~,977 cars short in delivery. Of course we seek to get out of this position. We fill emergency storage yards with the product, pite it up, but repeated handling makes our product expensive and this is impermissible. I witl briefly mention our b r i g a d e - i t is small, only eight persons (four operators and four helpers); we work in four shifts. We began in December 1959 to struggle for the honorary rank and in February 1961 we were awarded this high title. Even before this we worked well, but it was something else again with respect to education, therefore the question of increasing our general and special education was one of the m a i n points in our pledges. Almost a l l members of the brigade began to study at t e c h n i c a l schools. Today in the c o l l e c t i v e there are four technicians, two will soon c o m p l e t e technical schools, one has received a secondary education, and only one, an elderly man, has an i n c o m p l e t e secondary education. The central mine, presently uses a payment for labor in which the work of the entire shift and not individual excavator brigades is c a l c u l a t e d and paid out on this basis. There are defects in this system of pay but we consider that there is much in it that is good, corresponding to demands of the present day. For example, if previously an excavator operator was "sick" only for himself and a t t e m p t e d in some way to fulfilI the shift norm even if the conditions at the face did not permit this to be done, now he is "sick" for the entire shift, for his co-workers. And if something goes wrong for someone, the entire shift rushes to rescue him.

The responsibilities of the shift technical personnel for work have increased, in fact their errors involve the underfulfillment of the norms of the entire shift. It is nice to point out that during the time of working by this system we have never come up against a single person who would want to "goof off" behind the back of a comrade (and get equal portions ! ). All brigades go about their work conscientiously: the responsibility for the collective is a great force!
The collective of the Dokuchaevskii Flux-Dolomite Combine is applying all its efforts to fully provide ferrous metallurgy with flux for producing any amount of metal in excess of the plan,
