IFSCC elects officers Dr. S. Ohta of Japan has been elected 1985-86 president of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists, succeeding Dr. J. Rubin of Argentina. Other officers for the y e a r include J. Puig Martin of Spain as vice president, R. Luks of Switzerland as treasurer, W. E. Lange of the United States as honorary secretary, and L. Motitschke of Germany, P. J. Rothwell of Great Britain, R. van Croonenborgh of The Netherlands and G. Bucher of the United States as committee members on the IFSCC presidium. At the IFSCC annual meeting, the council established a new award named for the late M. G. de Navarre, an AOCS member who was ins t r u m e n t a l in establishing the IFSCC. The 1986 IFSCC International Congress will be held in mid-September in Barcelona, Spain.
